*ICT REVOLUTION IMMINENTS IN IJEBU IGBO AS UK CHAPTER DESCENDANTS SET TO COMMENCE MONUMENTAL CONSTRUCTION*

All is set to spark a new revolution in the Orimolusi kingdom very soon as the United Kingdom Chapter of the descendants of the town is returning home with a massive monumental project as their collective contribution to the socio-cultural and educational development of their paternity, with primary goal of enhancing communal unity and youth developments.

Suffice to realize that, some indigenes of Ijebu Igbo town who had pursued greener pasture to diaspora, specifically United Kingdom, had for some years ago congregated themselves to form a progressive union with vision of uniting to become good ambassadors to their paternal home and to be supportive to individual members in all fronts.

Being the most enviable union within the region, which had been unanimously planted on the sand of the sea shore by the show of love amongst the member, is said to have been renowned for its good gesture of being their brothers’ keeper and the relentless contributions to the development of the town in all dimensions.

Recalling some of their contributions to the town so far, the union is said to have sometimes ago renovated the old Ijebu Igbo Library, distributed hospital beds and clinic equipment to all government owned Hospitals in the community, organized coaching for the WAEC/NECO Students and had organised series of events to promote the image and culture abroad, which include knowledge-based Cancer Awareness Workshop and the just concluded 2020 Ojude-Oba Symposium .

In the strive to take their commitment towards Ijebu Igbo development to a next level, the united body had planned the construction of a modern edifice to be called *UNITY HOUSE* at the heartbeat of the town. On the acquired land at the back of Obada market, the project is designed to be a multipurpose center where there will be a mini hall, a prototype museum, library with computer facilities as ICT center and lots more.

During a chat with President of the association, Otunba Ola Busari, it was made believed through the exhibition of the “Building Drawing Sketch” that very soon the work will commence. The energetic, passionate, creative and visionary leader of the union said:

“…we are committed to Love ourselves and the development of our fatherland. Unity, Love and Commitment is our watchword. So, this project is borne out of our committed passion to the wellbeing of the town. It is going to commence very soon as the group is at the final stage of perfecting the drawing and to finally resolve with the proposing structural engineer.”

According to the plan, the project will be an avenue to showcase and preserve the community culture and heritage through the availability of the museum, which will serve to immortalize the historic Legends for the promotion of traditional status. It is going to include an ICT center with mission towards youth development and empowerments.

In his final message to the generality of the town, the Chapter President, Otunba Ola Busari acknowledged the commitment of all the members towards the collective realization of the project, and wished them all God’s favour in all their undertakings. He further said:

*“we can always do better when we are United in Love. Lets love one another, work on our strengths and not on our weakness. Someone built the community we are living now, let’s be bold to stand for the Truth & Justice for posterity sake. And above all, let the Love of the people and community be radiant in us, let’s show it by our commitment and back it up with action. OSI IJEBU IGBO A GBE DEDE ENI O”*
